Mission (why the job exists): The mission of this job is to assist the organization and CEO increase company productivity, execution capacity, decision making and growth capabilities by leading strategic projects, assisting with ad-hoc analysis and presentations and being a thinking partner for the senior management team. It is expected that after some time acting in this role the candidate is ready to take over the COO position or any other leadership position.

Main responsibilities include:


  • Project Management: Research, develop, and lead special projects and strategic business initiatives taking inputs and validating results with senior leadership, allowing the company to react faster to new trends/information when there is not a clear leader in the management team who could lead these eventual promising projects.

  • Data Analysis & Decision Making: Assist the CEO and/or senior leadership with research,analysis and synthesis of data allowing faster and more effective decision making.

  • Presentations & Memos: Prepare presentations and written memos on a wide range of topics ranging from company presentations to board decks to specific topical issues.

  • Assist with Internal Communication: Promote team integration as well as cross-functional communication and collaboration. Prepare draft communications such as emails, messages, and posts on a variety of different subjects on behalf of, and for review by, the CEO and Senior Leadership.

  • Financial Planning & Budgeting: Assist the CEO and senior leadership team developing yearly budget and forecasts for board approval.

  • Prepare detailed agendas and briefing materials. Ensure all reading materials meet company wide standards for high impact meetings. Organize and run cadence meetings around specific issues and record decisions and action items (such as the All Hands, Department Heads, and Tuesday Alignment meetings). Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure tasks are assigned and actioned with the objective of increasing overall productivity.

  • Keep the beat: Proactively follow up with the management team if and when goals are not being achieved to determine why objectives are not being met. Provide actionable recommendations for improvement. Track high priority initiatives to identify any/potential obstacles

  • Interim area responsible: take ownership of areas lacking leadership, taking them to the next level of performance and finding the right person to take the lead.

Experience required;


  • 2+ years in an investment banking or consulting role at a large investment bank or consulting firm.

  • 2+ years experience in leadership positions at a high growth startup.

  • +7 years of professional experience

  • BA.BS Economics, Engineering or similar.

  • Proven experience managing and coordinating projects.
